- It’s all about you. From one-on-one planning meetings, to helping you plan the times and best locations for photos, to organising group portraits, to wrangling stray kids, to involving you in the whole album design process, I aim to make your experience with Photos by Jay as unique and enjoyable as possible.
- I love Sydney! I’ve lived here most of my life and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. When you hire me you can have confidence in my knowledge of Sydney and its sometimes temperamental weather conditions.
- I have over 5 years’ commercial photography experience. My passion for photography has developed into a professional career and I have since photographed many Indian weddings, engagements, sangeets, pithis and ceremonies.
- You get your photos fast. Your photo book or album will be delivered within 8 weeks of you approving the album layout. Your photos will be sent right away (usually within 2 weeks). I have heard countless horror stories of couples waiting for months and years just to see their wedding prints! To me this is a sign of very sloppy service – you and your loved ones should be enjoying your photos as soon as possible.
- I am constantly updating my camera gear with only the finest lenses and accessories to ensure you get the sharpest and clearest photos possible
A process you can trust
As soon as you hire me to photograph your wedding, you can rest assured that my tried and tested process will assure things will run smoothly, letting you focus on planning your wedding day.
- At a time that suits you I meet with you to go through the proceedings of the day, plus answer any questions you have and take you through some of my recent work.
- I research the venue, taking into account backup locations in case of rain, and ideal locations for the best photos
- On the big day I arrive early to set up and take non-intrusive photos of all the important proceedings of the day. I have plenty of experience covering Indian weddings so I will not miss any of the many important moments during the ceremony. I will also capture lots photos of your guests interacting. You’ll barely know I’m there!
- Within a few weeks (usually 2 weeks) you receive all your photos in a proof book. You select your favourite photos and send me an email with the list for inclusion on your customised album. I will also prepare an album pre-design, with a layout that I think would work best from my experience.
- Once you are happy with the layout, your album is sent into production. Within 8 weeks you will have a beautifully crafted, personalised album of your special day. You will also receive all of your digital negatives in high resolution.
